VVI^® today announced the release of DAQ Plot^™ and DAQ Command^™version 9.8.6, which features plug-and-play high-speed data acquisition plotting and control loop programming. Ed Van Vliet, CEO of VVI, made this statement:

"DAQ Plot measures voltages from sensors and presents them in an intuitive strip chart format. This new version upgrades its speed up to 50,000 voltage measurements per second. It also includes a new tool called DAQ Command which is used to program real-time control loops to automate voltage measurement and machine control. The two are complimentary because DAQ Plot is used to visualize and understand sensor results and once understood, DAQ Command is used to automate reactions to those sensors, for example by turning off and on valves and switches according to sensor voltage changes. The two systems, DAQ Plot and DAQ Command, span the needs of data acquisition projects from the beginning research and development phases to the end result of system and product integration and automation."

DAQ Plot version 9.8.6 adds these new features:

• DAQ Command, a programming system to make real-time control loops.

• Plug-and-play data acquisition up to 50,000 samples per second, with higher rates obtainable by specialized hardware.

• A recording state input channel so recording can start and stop according to an applied voltage or other real-time transform of an input signal such as derivative or integration. This can be used to trigger the recording of high-speed transient signals or simply to allow for a manual toggle switch to start and stop recording.

• Real-time windowing of data, for example to window peaks in a signal in order to integrate valid features.

• Performance meters to help determine how your computer is handling the data acquisition at fast data rates.

• Dynamic switching of interface styles from simple to advanced.
